People who find that they regularly suffer from dry eyes during the winter months have been offered tips on how to minimise this problem in the weeks ahead.
Kristin Booker, writing for the advice site NewNowNext, noted that the combination of central heating inside and harsh temperatures outside can play havoc with people's vision.
She advised keeping a bottle of eyedrops close by and applying liberally on a regular basis to combat dryness, while having soothing eye wipes can also help.
"Not only will they keep the eye area nice and moist, but they'll remove stubborn foreign objects (including waterproof cosmetics) and are totally safe for
contact lens wearers," Ms Booker added.
When it comes to the
contact lenses themselves, the writer also recommended using 1-Day ACUVUE TruEye Contact Lenses, which she says allows her to read, work and travel in comfort without the weather affecting her, while 1-Day ACUVUE Moist Contact Lenses are great for people with very dry eyes.
