The Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB) gave GMTV a list of ways in which people can take care of their eyes.

The charity explained that obesity can cause sight-threatening diabetes.
Smoking is also bad for the eyes, as it increases the risk of developing age-related macular degeneration.
DIY enthusiasts should also ensure that they were safety goggles, as mishaps in this activity cause many injuries to the eyes.
Last month, EyeCare America suggested that people keep their eyes young by protecting them from the sun and making sure they are well lubricated.
