The new autumn trends include a need for heavier eyebrows, it has been reported.
Hello magazine carried a photograph of Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts sporting stronger brows than fashionistas had originally thought would be in for this season.
The publication explained that brows still need to be maintained properly and kept in an elegant shape.
It suggested to women that that they use clean mascara wands to brush their brows and work out what plucking needs to be done, before adding some colour.
The magazine stressed: "It doesn"t mean thick brows are back - rather, these brows are simply neat and overly defined."
It is not just women who pay attention to their brows.
Debenhams recently reported that 40 per cent of its Brow Bar customers are men.
Cosmetic merchandising director Sara Stern said that men were realising how much better well-kept eyebrows make them look and suggested they could attain "a sexy James Bond style arch".
