Bausch & Lomb"s Academy of Vision Care website will expand into Europe, it has been revealed.
The academy"s web-based learning resource, which aims to provide practitioners with training and professional development through online videos, pods casts and print, was re-launched in November.
A new My Academy tool on the website allows users to tailor the site to suit their own requirements.
Cheryl Donnelly, medical affairs manager for EMEA (The European Medicines Agency) Vision Care, said that the company was proud to offer its customers high-quality generic education.
"The Academy of Vision Care is part of a long-term commitment by Bausch & Lomb to be the trusted partner in providing accredited continuous education and professional development," she said.
Ms Donnelly added that the web-based tool will offer the most relevant information and resources to individual practitioners" needs and interests because of its high quality and ability to allow them to define their own preferences.
The contact lens manufacturer recently announced the election of Fred Hassan to its board of directors.
