Casey Johnson, daughter of billionaire businessman Woody Johnson of Johnson & Johnson, which manufactures contact lenses, has been found dead at her home in Los Angeles.

The socialite, who was friends with Paris Hilton, died of a suspected drug overdose, according to friends posting on a social networking site.

But Los Angeles police spokeswoman Sara Faden said: "It appears to be a natural death. There"s no evidence of foul play. A toxicology report from the coroner"s office will proceed next."

The heiress was arrested for grand theft in November 2009 and was known to have a history of drug abuse. She was in a relationship with reality TV star Tila Tequila and the pair were rumoured to have got engaged last month.

She was a regular on Twitter but since her death arguments have erupted on the social networking site between Tequila and fellow celeb Perez Hilton regarding Tequila"s reaction to her fiancee"s death.
