Gunnar glasses could help fix the symptoms of strained eyes for people who spend a large amount of time in front of a computer, according to Wired.
On the science magazine"s blog, blogger and software engineer Matt Blum noted how useful Gunnar Optiks glasses are.
At first sceptical, he tried the glasses and hasn"t looked back since.
He didn"t notice much difference at first, he says, but after three days he noticed a reduction in the slight headaches he experienced.
He wrote: "I don"t want to sound like a commercial, but I really can"t find anything negative to say about these glasses."
Susan Vitale, of the National Eye Institute in America, recently told Bloomberg that the increase in engaging in activities requiring close-up viewing such as text-messaging, playing video games and surfing the internet, was to blame for the 66 per cent increase in short-sightedness in the US since the 1970s.
