Students hoping to gain top grades in their upcoming exams may find that contact lenses are the key to success, according to one expert.
Industry analyst Amy Liau said that many students may be suffering eye strain and tiredness because they do not have wear contact lenses, despite needing them.
She advised people to go for an eye test to determine how much their vision needs correcting and then they can concentrate on getting their head down and swatting up ahead of tests such as GCSEs, A-levels and university exams.
Ms Liau added: "Contact lenses can rectify weakened vision and enable students to focus on a bright future! It"s so important for students to get tested early, to ensure they allow plenty of time for their lenses to arrive in time for those crucial exams."
Meanwhile, a study recently presented at the 2010 Annual Meeting of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology claimed that a special contact lens may reduce the progress of myopia, or nearsightedness, by fully correcting the central vision while reducing the relative peripheral farsightedness, also known as hyperopia.
