Bausch + Lomb teams with actress for new campaign

Contact lens manufacturer Bausch + Lomb has teamed with award-winning actress Marcia Gay Harden for a new campaign designed to encourage parents and children to make vision care a priority.

The 50-year-old actress said that she "knows the value" of clear focus when it comes to her children, as she keeps a close eye on her daughter Eulala to help her handle the everyday challenges she faces.

Harden pointed out that her daughter recently switched from glasses to daily disposable contact lenses as a more comfortable and convenient way to correct her vision.

"Since she"s following in the same line of work as me, it"s great for her not to have to worry about her glasses on set. We"re definitely "seeing eye to eye" there - I don"t have to worry about her losing them," she explained.

Earlier this year, Bausch + Lomb is offered boxes of its 90 SofLens daily disposable lenses to youngsters at a discounted rate in the US after research by the Ohio State University College of Optometry suggested children can benefit from using the products.
