Daily disposable contact lenses may be a wise option for teenagers who want to benefit from improved vision without having to wear spectacles which they feel are unattractive, one expert has stated.
Shelly Toltz, an optometrist who has children of her own, pointed out that daily disposable contact lenses are often ideal for teens on the move.
"A growing body of evidence shows they are a great option for teens They"re affordable, do not require cleaning and storage, and allow kids to pursue sports, arts and academics without dealing with glasses," she explained.
Recently, Parwez Hossain, a consultant ophthalmologist at Southampton General Hospital, has warned that young people still tend to be "quite relaxed and care-free" when it comes to the appropriate hygiene standards required for wearing contact lenses.
