A schoolgirl has spoken of her delight at having new contact lenses for her first day back at school.
Recently, Sarakshi Sadana returned to school after the summer break and wore contact lenses for the first time, meaning that she no longer had to wear glasses for lessons, Newsday reports.
As her favourite subject is science, the new lenses also meant that she could focus on the technical aspects of the lesson without straining to see or worrying about glasses slipping off her nose.
"Sarakshi was excited about having new contact lenses for her first day at Hauppauge Middle School. With no more eyeglasses, her friends could now see her blue eyes. And moving up to middle school means new friends and new teachers," the news provider stated.
Recently, Rose Pastore, writing for AAP News, said that some children are fearful of being teased for wearing glasses and may be suitable candidates for contact lenses, while those who play sport may also benefit.
