Many people lose sleep at least one night a week due to problems with their eyes, a study has revealed.
The Mentholatum Company, which makes Rohto Dry Eye Relief, conducted a survey of 1,000 people aged between 20 and 60 from across the UK and discovered that many suffer from scratchy, itchy or painful eyes.
Nearly half of those quizzed said that eye problems had stopped them from getting a good night"s sleep, with 27 per cent having bad nights at least once a week and 37 per cent sleeping badly because of eye troubles at least once a month.
"Given the risks to the eyes and eyesight, it"s perhaps no surprise that nearly half of respondents admitted to worrying about their eye health at times," a statement from the Mentholatum Company reads.
Paradoxically, HygieneExpert.co.uk advised people that they can avoid their eyes being sore, puffy and tired-looking by getting an adequate amount of sleep each night.
