Patients in need of vision correction in are to have free contact lenses fitted at an upcoming event in India.
The Rahmani Foundation Healthcare Department has organise an eye camp in Munger which will take place on February 12th and 13th and see up to 1,000 people with vision problems tested and ultimately fitted with the products, Two Circles reports.
As well as being fitted with contact lenses and medicines, patients will receive food and lodging.
Vision experts Dr Abid Akhtar and Dr Mohan Lal Singh will be on hand to provide their services at what will be the 23rd camp of its kind arranged by the Rahmani Foundation since 1996.
It comes after the British Contact Lens Association predicted a difficult 2011 for the vision industry as a whole but said that the development of innovative new contact lenses will likely result in this sector continuing to thrive.
