An actor has spoken about having to don coloured contact lenses to appear in a short horror film.

Being filmed in Guernsey by a group going under the name of De La Mare Productions, the film is titled Isolated, the BBC reports.

The seven-minute film involves a young couple being trapped in a forest by flesh-eating zombies.

Liam Inder, who played one of the zombies and provided the sound effects, said: "It was crazy having to dress up and get the contact [lenses] and everything."

"[It] was a messy job, but it was really fun to do," he told the news provider.

Mr Inder helped to edit the film and it was screened for the first time in public at the Princess Royal Centre for the Performing Arts yesterday (January 20th).

Natalie Portman recently donned coloured contact lenses for her role as a ballet dancer in the newly released Black Swan.
