Contact lens manufacturer Bausch + Lomb (B+L) has revealed that it has signed a licensing agreement to sell KeraSoft lenses.
Under the terms of the deal, B+L will market and sell UltraVision CLPL's KeraSoft soft contact lenses throughout the UK and the rest of world through its network of lab channel partners and will also acquire the rights to the name.
Dr Joseph Barr, vice-president of global clinical and medical affairs and professional services at B+L, pointed out that KeraSoft technology enables the creation of custom-made contact lenses for people with irregular corneas or keratoconus.
"This technology has totally transformed my view of contact lens management of keratoconus and irregular cornea patients. The visual results and enhancement of life are true advances," he explained.
B+L has recently been aiming to increase awareness of its new range of lenses in Mumbai and Delhi thanks to a new Outdoor Media Integrated campaign, afaqs.com reported.
