An international rugby player has benefitted from using a new contact lens solution to help improve his eyesight, it has been reported.
Optician Online noted how Saracens player Hayden Smith had been struggling with his normal prescription, as it prohibited him from wearing daily disposables and his existing solution was not ideal.
However, Simon Rose, official optician to Saracens RFC, said the new generation Sauflon Synergi solution has helped the player considerably.
He told the website: "Hayden's prescription does not allow for daily disposables and, in the past, solutions have caused some issues with comfort. The combination of the new material technology in contact lenses, and Synergi, has solved these comfort issues."
Meanwhile, new ClearKone contact lenses, which can help to improve the vision of people with a new treatment for keratoconus and other corneal irregularities, were recently praised by Dr Margaret Ritterbusch, an eye specialist at Outlook EyeCare.
