Actress Poppy Montgomery has revealed how coloured contact lenses have helped her transform into JK Rowling in a new TV movie of the Harry Potter author's life.
In Magic Beyond Words: The JK Rowling Story, which is due to be screened in the US later this year, Montgomery was tasked with transforming her appearance to resemble Rowling, who shot to stardom when the Harry Potter books became international bestsellers.
According to the star, she has been mastering Rowling's accent and learning more about her life in an attempt to portray her in the most accurate possible light.
Montgomery, who also stars in the hit series Without A Trace, recently told Access Hollywood that she would turn into "a puddle of water" if she ever met Rowling in person.
Last year, actor Jackie Earle Haley revealed how coloured contact lenses helped him to transform into the gruesome Freddy Krueger in the remake of the horror classic A Nightmare on Elm Street.
