There are plenty of bargains to be found when buying contact lenses online, according to one source.
Adriana Noton, writing for the Breaking Story, said that the cost of buying online contact lenses is generally far cheaper because of the discounts that are available compared with buying them in a store, where they are normally a set price.
She explained: "Many people place an order for lenses once year at the end of their appointment with their doctor. If this is the case, you may be missing out on deep discounts extended to people who shop online."
The writer added that many people feel obliged to stick with the same shop where they have always bought their lenses, but these people may be losing out as a result.
Recently, the Royal College of Ophthalmologists warned that any contact lenses purchased online should only be bought from a reputable supplier with a proven track record.
