Eye health tips offered by experts

A number of experts have offered tips to ensure people maintain good eye health, including some vital tips regarding eye makeup.

In an online article in the Huffington Post, Lasik surgeon Dr Brian Boxer-Wachler said it is vital that women wash their hands thoroughly before applying or removing makeup, as it limits the risk of infection.

Additionally, people with sensitive eyes should take extra care to make sure no product comes into contact with the eyeball, the expert added.

Meanwhile, chemist Ron Robinson, founder of BeautyStat.com, warned that people should not use eye products that contain fragrance and, if they wear contact lenses, only use products which are tested and deemed safe for wearers.

Last week, Arizona eye doctor Stephen Cohen told MonstersandCritics.com that there are many everyday hazards to eyes, from artificial light to the sun's UV rays, and so it is important that people take the necessary precautions to safeguard their vision.
