A new video contest has been launched, in a bid to highlight the potentially beneficial nature of vision correction surgery.
Those who have been provided with help by Dr Dean Dornic from the Laser Eye Center of Carolina will be able to get involved in the I Don't Need You Anymore competition, which encourages them to demonstrate how vision correction techniques have made their lives quite different.
Prizes up for grabs in this year's contest include a 3D TV, a blu-ray player and a flip camera, with iTunes gift cards also being offered to all of those who choose to become contestants.
Dr Dornic's Durham/Raleigh LASIK patients are among those who might be eligible to get involved in the competition, which began last Friday (April 1st).
When it comes to the condition of people's eyes, David Wright, chief executive of the International Glaucoma Association, recently suggested that diet can have an effect on their overall health.
