KT Tunstall, the Scottish folk artist who famously sung the fitting lyrics "Suddenly I See", has reportedly chosen laser eye surgery as an alternative to wearing contact lenses.
The 35-year-old songwriter, from Edinburgh, who became an international star with the release of her debut album Eye to the Telescope in 2004, announced the news on social media website Twitter.
"Getting tests to see if I can get laser eye surgery and nursey just dilated my pupils! Woohoo! I can't read!" she told followers.
Tunstall, who is thought to wear contact lenses at the moment, has just arrived in the US for a headlining tour, while she is also planning to release new material in the coming weeks.
Earlier this week, those choosing contact lenses over laser eye surgery were reminded never to wear them to bed.
Speaking to Fox News, ophthalmologist Dr Marc Werner explained how the cornea can break down if contacts are left on the eye for too long, highlighting the need to remove them before hitting the hay.
