Contact lens manufacturer Bausch + Lomb (B+L) has announced the rollout of its new flight packs in the UK, to assist contact lens wearers heading away on holiday this summer.
The organisation's Biotrue flight packs have been created so that travellers can take them through customs and carry them in hand luggage, preventing them from uncomfortable flights, Optician Online reported.
They contain two 60 ml bottles of Biotrue and two contact lens cases, as well as a clear plastic zip bag to place the items in when going through customs and instructions on how to use and maintain the products.
According to B+L, its Biotrue range has 'exceptional' disinfectant properties and so is perfect for people who may experience dry eyes, such as those on plane journeys.
Currently, B+L is midway through a $100 million (£61.4 million) investment at its Irish plant in Co Waterford, a move which will result in 100 construction jobs being created over the development period.
