Olympic sprinter Allyson Felix, the face of a new contact lenses campaign, has revealed how being confident gave her the ability to improve her performances on the track and go for gold.
The US sprint star is one of the most successful female athletes in history, with three world championship gold medals over 200m and two Olympic silver medals to her name over the same distance.
However, she used to be teased because of her "chicken legs" until she found she could run quickly and soon developed a huge amount of confidence.
The message of confidence is one being promoted through the new Acuvue One Day contest launched by Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, which shows that switching to contact lenses or making a big life change can help to build a person's confidence and help them achieve in life.
Felix, who is one of five celebrity mentors in the new campaign, commented: "I'd love to work with someone to show them that great success and confidence can be found where you least expect it."
