Young professionals represent the future of the contact lens industry and will ensure that new innovations continue to enter the market in the months and years ahead, it has been claimed.
According to Shelly Bansal, president of the British Contact Lens Association, the organisation's recent event offered young people the chance to learn about what a career in the industry entails.
As well as display stands form leading contact lens manufacturers, there were also eyecare workshops taking place to inform and educate.
She added that everybody form novices to experts still has something to learn and this thirst for knowledge will help to drive innovation in the contact lens sector for years to come.
"We are sure to have among us the next generation of leading lights of the contact lens world, and I look forward to sharing with them all that the conference and exhibition have to offer," Ms Bansal said ahead of the conference.
A key message emanating from the event was the need for proper contact lens compliance among wearers to ensure safety, Optician Online recently reported.
