The hotels of the future will offer people the option to read their emails using high-tech contact lenses, it has been claimed.
A new report carried out by engineer and futurologist Ian Pearson, entitled The Future of Sleep, suggests that in as little as 15 years" time, contact lenses will take many forms and be more advanced than ever.
Speaking to Telegraph Travel, he said that the hotel experience will involve doing almost anything virtually, including reliving happy moments.
"We will be able to replay our favourite dream from a menu just like choosing a movie. Also, we will be able to link into dreams with our partner or family and friends and enjoy a shared dream experience," Mr Pearson said.
Michio Kaku, a professor of theoretical physics at the City University of New York and the author of Physics of the Future, told the Sydney Morning Herald that, one day in the not-so-distant future, contact lenses will be used to access the internet.
