Office workers who make adjustments to their screen settings may find that they save their eyesight in the long run, it has been claimed.
According to Dharmesh Patel, chairman of the Eyecare Trust, many people do not realise that making a few simple changes can guarantee they do not suffer long-term vision problems as a result of their job.
"Making a few simple adjustments to your seat, screen settings or posture could be all that"s needed to save your eyes from feeling tired and irritated after a long day at work," he explained.
Mr Patel highlighted that staring at a screen can also exacerbate existing vision problems that people may have so it is vital that computer users visit eyecare professionals for regular eye examinations.
