Baseball player trials tinted contact lenses

A star baseball player is trialling contact lenses in an attempt to improve his form, it has been revealed.

Josh Hamilton, who plays for Texas in the American League, has been one of the star sluggers for a while now and was named MVP last season, but has been struggling lately due to the glare given off by floodlights.

However, he has begun trialling tinted contact lenses in a bid to reduce the glare during games and has already noticed a difference which makes it easier for him to hit the ball and replicate the form which made him stand out last season.

"I've never worn contact lenses in my life. I could tell a difference. It just takes the brightness off everything," he told the Associated Press.

Recently, fellow baseball player Bryce Harper, who plays centre field for the Hagerstown Suns, revealed how he was struggling for form until he realised his poor vision was affecting his game and made up his mind to undergo tests, which recommended he change contact lenses.
