Although there are plenty of creams and products on the market that claim to help remove wrinkles and give people younger-looking skin, it is not necessary to buy them to hide the appearance of wrinkles, it has been noted.
That is because fine lines and age marks can easily be disguised by eye makeup, according to BoldSky.com, which has offered some tips to women hoping to conceal the appearance of advancing years.
It advised that, before beginning with makeup, people should massage the under eye wrinkles with ice cubes or ice soaked cotton, as it can reduce the swelling, puffiness or age lines considerably.
Women should then use a concealer or liquid foundation to hide under eye wrinkles, allow it to set for a few minutes and apply a compact to lock the application.
They can then use the darkest eyeliner possible and pencil as an outline, as the darkness highlights eyes and shifts the focus of the onlooker towards it.
It added: "Decide the eye shadow according to complexion. For lighter skin, you can choose the bright blues, green and greys while dusky skin can prefer plum, pinks or grape colours. Shadow makes eyes even brighter and take all the credit."
Another option is for women to highlight eye lashes with mascara, as the long lashes will shadow the wrinkles, making them insignificant and helping to create a greater illusion of a smooth and line-free complexion.
Finally, the source advised: "The shimmer on cheekbones need to be at minimum as it is too close to the wrinkled under eyes. Just little soft shimmer or shimmer matching with skin tone would be better."
By following these tips, it should be possible to conceal the appearance of wrinkles or fine lines and ensure that women look fantastic when they head out of the house.
