The spring/summer season will see a big emphasis on eye make-up, a top international beauty expert has noted.
Joseph Hernandez, who does make-up for a number of big names, told the Manchester Evening News that one of the key trends for the upcoming season focuses on the eye.
He advised that women looking to stay in line with this trend use heavy, metallic shades on the eye and then add lashings of mascara for a dark and decadent look.
This style is "dramatic and strong," he told the newspaper, and will see metallic silvers and golds as well as some greys and blues sure to make the eyes pop - with some top designers even utilising real gold on the catwalk.
"The eyes definitely have more emphasis than the lips, which, along with the skin, are kept sheer. It's about making your skin look very transparent, like you're not wearing foundation," he said.
Meanwhile, advice on BoldSky.com noted that make-up can successfully cover up wrinkles around the eyes, eliminating the need for expensive creams.
