People can never be too old to wear contact lenses, according to one manufacturer which has noted that the products can be used well into people's 90s, if they wish.
Johnson & Johnson Vision Care is attempting to dispel many of the myths regarding the use of contact lenses, such as the assumption that they are only suitable for people under a certain age, Optician Online notes.
However, this is not true at all, according to 92-year-old Ursula Buckley, who has joined forces with Johnson & Johnson to highlight how the products have been correcting her vision for two decades and counting.
After being first fitted with contact lenses at the age of 71, Ms Buckley recently moved on to 1 Day Acuvue Trueye from Johnson & Johnson and her optician, Paul Gill, told the website that she is receiving all the benefits of the lenses.
"Ursula wanted comfort, convenience and an increase in her quality of life she was the perfect candidate for daily disposable contact lenses," he added.
