A website that gives information about laser eye surgery has been reaccredited by the Health on the Net (HON) Foundation.
The site, www.seewithlasik.com, has been re-examined and found still to adhere to HON standards.
It exists to give education and information to people who are considering having laser eye surgery and includes other methods of vision correction within its remit.
HON aims to ensure that quality healthcare information is available on the internet and was set up in 1995 by several experts.
Katherine Carlisle, a managing partner with the website, said that it is important that people considering laser surgery understand it and find out what the best option is for them.
In a statement, the website also said that it does not take any funding or promotions from companies in order to maintain its neutrality.
HON states that its HONcode is the "oldest and the most used ethical and trustworthy code" for internet information regarding health and medical content.
Web publishers and the general public are both intended audiences.
