A new bottle system that shows people when their contact lens solution is becoming depleted has been released by Bausch & Lomb.
ReNu MultiPlus bottles are translucent and carry a line marker to show when the contact lens solution needs to be replaced.
Bausch & Lomb unveils the product as part of its Think Eyegiene campaign and is promoting it with a clip on video sharing website YouTube.
Another part Think Eyegiene, which began in 2008, is the ReNu Compliance Kit.
Part of this was a memory stick which allowed users to watch a virtual optician answer queries about contact lenses.
Other contact lens products from Bausch & Lomb include PureVision and SofLens Daily Disposables.
PureVision contact lenses are made of a substance called AerGel.
According to Bausch & Lomb, they are "the first family of silicone hydrogel lenses".
It also produces the ReNu MPS Multi-Purpose Solution, a fluid which can clean, rinse and disinfect.
