Dark eye makeup "can be adapted for a bride"

Advice has been given for brides who like wearing dark colours on their eyes.

Women who like to wear dark colours on their eyes have been told how to adapt this for their weddings.

Make-up artist Nancy Spencer explained to bride-to-be Gemma Minshull that her standard black eyeliner and dark shadow could be altered to suit her on her big day.

She put highlighter under Ms Minshull"s eyes and then applied ivory and plum shades to her lids.

The colours were kept darker on the wings and paler towards the centre of the eyes.

Individual false lashes were recommended in order to give a "feline, winged out shape".

Ms Spencer told Body Confidential, which followed her making up of Ms Minshull, that such lashes give a more subtle look.

Meanwhile, summer brides may wish to opt for the citrus shades that are reported to be the height of fashion for the season.

It is recommended that women to try two contrasting colours rather than sticking to just one.
