Bausch & Lomb, the global contact lens firm, has paired up with another organisation to hold a photography contest.
Its SofLens Daily Disposable Contact Lenses arm has partnered with Shutterfly to hold the Eye on Summer Fun competition in the US.
Entrants have until October 16 to submit a photograph that captures the essence of summer and have a chance to win a year"s worth of contact lenses and a Flip MinoHD camcorder.
A runner-up can also win a three-month supply of contact lenses as well as a gift certificate for Best Buy, worth $100 (£60).
Bausch & Lomb hopes that the competition will raise awareness among people of the advantages of daily disposable lenses.
Shutterfly allows people to store and share their photos online and use photography software.
It can also personalise the images for people to use to send to others or receive themselves.
The service can use the photos to make items such as cards and other photo-based gifts.
