The entry deadline for the 2010 Optician Awards is fast approaching.
Entrants have until January 25th to enter the competition, which will be held at the London Hilton on Park Lane later this year.
Firms wanting to receive recognition at the Optician Awards do not have to provide any supporting information at this early stage, just a 500-1,000 word statement on why they fit the criteria the judges are looking for.
Awards up for grabs at the ceremony include Optometrist of the Year, Dispensing Optician of the Year, Contact Lens Practitioner of the Year and Sports Vision Practice of the Year.
The event"s organisers said: "Your statement should explain why you, or your practice, deserve to win the award and provide answers to the question in the category criteria.
"Most importantly it should convey the passion you have for that particular area of optics."
The final shortlist for the event will be released shortly after the application deadline and the actual awards ceremony will take place on April 17th.
