A top rugby player has thanked the optician who provided him with contact lenses during his career at Exeter Chiefs.
Lock Chris Bentley has paid tribute to optician Surhid Chatterjee for supplying him with contact lenses and said that the products have helped him to focus on the big games, the Exeter Express and Echo reported.
As a thank you, the 31-year-old presented Mr Chatterjee with a signed Championship-winning jersey – a gesture which was greatly appreciated by the optician.
"We've supported Chris with cutting-edge contact lenses and cutting-edge support since he joined the club six years ago. It was a pleasant surprise to be presented with his signed shirt," Mr Chatterjee told the newspaper
Meanwhile, baseball player Eric Duncan, who plays for the Mississippi Braves and formerly starred for the New York Yankees, has revealed that contact lenses have been the key to him improving his sight and therefore his game.
