Johnson & Johnson (HK) is recalling further lots of contact lenses after identifying that a small percentage of them do not meet internal manufacturing requirements.
Back in August, the company announced that it was voluntarily recalling selected lots of its One Day Acuvue TruEye branded contact lenses.
Johnson & Johnson has now alerted the Department of Health that it is extending the recall to cover a greater number of lots of the product, webnewswire.com reports.
The affected batches were manufactured in Ireland and have the lot numbers 492237 to 492498 and 502080 to 502269.
Those concerned about their lenses should look at the side of the product box and check the lot numbers, which are the first six digits printed.
Last month, lens producer Ciba Vision recalled certain lots of its Softperm contact lenses over fears that the products are not sterile and could cause users' eyes to become infected.
