Ireland's largest vision correction specialist Ultralase is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
The firm was the first private company to offer laser eye surgery in the UK and it now has clinics in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Waterford.
Its first specialist clinic was set up in the Wirral back in 1991, but it has greatly expanded since then and it now runs 31 clinics throughout the UK and Ireland.
Tony Veverka, chief executive at Ultralase, said that the 20 year anniversary was a "significant milestone" for the company.
"Knowing the difference it can make to each and every … glasses wearer is what drives us to ensure that we're providing the best possible solution and high level of care to all," he added.
For those not feeling brave enough to undergo laser eye surgery in the near future, contact lenses are a better vision correction option than glasses, a post on UpdatedDailey.com noted recently.
