Fleet companies across the UK are being encouraged to ensure the eyesight of their drivers is up to standard.
A new campaign launched by the road safety charity Brake is recommending that transportation companies encourage their drivers to undergo regular eye test to determine whether they are in need of vision correction, such as glasses or contact lenses.
In order to help spread this message, fleet managers can order the new Look Sharp poster from the Fleet Safety Forum, which illustrates how having poor eyesight can cause major danger on the nation's roads.
Brake pointed out that, by having an eye test at least every two years, signs of visual deterioration in drivers can be identified and either slowed or stopped, reducing the chances of an accident considerably.
