Contact lens manufacturer launches mentorship contest

Contact lens manufacturer Johnson & Johnson Vision Care has launched a new contest offering people the chance to be mentored by a celebrity.

To support its range of Acuvue brand contact lenses, the company has announced the launch of the Acuvue One Day contest, which will offer five lucky people the opportunity to travel to Los Angeles and meet their heroes, including Joe Jonas from the Jonas Brothers.

The winners of the competition will also each receive another trip to Los Angeles later in the year to attend a teen awards event, as well as a one-year supply of One Day Acuvue moist contact lenses.

To enter, people need to upload a 30 to 60-second video on the Acuvue part of the YouTube site showcasing what they hope to achieve one day. Voting closes on June 30th.

Meanwhile, the company's new 1-Day Acuvue Define range of contact lenses is currently being promoted throughout eastern Asia with a new campaign featuring celebrities extolling the virtues of the products.
