Using eye makeup to get a smoky effect can be both easy and quick for those without a lot of time, an expert has claimed.
Erin Bailey, writing for Blog Her, has highlighted the fact it is easy to create the nighttime look in very little time.
The key steps she identifies are to make the eyes darker using eyeliner, eyeshadow and mascara to create the glam look.
To begin with, women should use a makeup removal tool to create the perfect "canvas" before starting to apply the makeup.
She said: "The recipe for a smoky eye is quite simple. You just need darkness all around the eye. It doesn't have to be harsh - even soft, smudged colour in darker hues can give you the desired effect."
BecomeGorgeous.com recently highlighted the fact that this season's key trend in eye makeup is big and bold statement designs.
She highlighted catwalk displays of this look in Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton and D&G's shows.
