Actress promotes Acuvue contact lenses at NY Fashion Week

Many famous faces have extolled the virtues of contact lenses over the last couple of decades, with celebrities often turning to them in place of glasses to stay as fashionable as possible in the public eye.

Of course, models are not exempt from having eyesight problems either, and so many will use contact lenses to help correct their vision without compromising their appearance on the catwalk.

This week, the worlds of acting and modelling are colliding at New York Fashion Week, where actress Meaghan Martin is making a splash.

She is in town to participate in style icon Robert Verdi"s annual Luxe Lab Twitter Party, where she will also be extolling the virtues of the new 1-day Acuvue Moist Brand Contact Lenses.

The actress and singer, who is perhaps best known for her role as Tess Tyler in the movies Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam and as Jo in Mean Girls 2, is a contact lens wearer and wants to show the world that they are great for correcting vision, as well as being very comfortable.

During the event, which begins today (September 7th), Martin will attend multiple fashion shows and events and share the information on her Twitter account at http://twitter.com/#!/EttejNahgaem.

Fashion fans can join the conversation on Twitter using #1DAYatFW and find out more about 1-DAY Acuvue Moist Brand Contact Lenses and the fashion designs on display.

She explained: "I am so thrilled to be in New York City alongside Acuvue Brand Contact Lenses to be a part of the excitement of Fashion Week. It is exciting to be on the front lines of the latest trends and share my experiences with everyone."

Verdi added: "Gorgeous, sparkling eyes are always in fashion. Some trends come and go, but contact lenses and beautiful eyes are always in style."
