Jenni Falconer gives contact lenses the thumbs-up

TV presenter Jenni Falconer has extolled the virtues of contact lenses and said wearing the products helps to make things much clearer, particularly when taking part in sporting activities.

The former I'm A Celebrity and This Morning presenter told Female First that she is wearing contact lenses to take part in the upcoming London Marathon top help ensure she gets round in the fastest time possible.

Although Jenni says she could easily run without wearing any vision correction, she cannot see everything as sharply as she would if she was wearing contacts.

"On the marathon day, it's so busy and it's so crazy, there's big crowds and there are bands and everything else, it means that everything becomes a bit of a blur and slightly overwhelming," she noted.

Just by wearing lenses, everything becomes suddenly clearer, and is easier to focus a bit better because you can actually see things ahead, the 36-year-old added.

This year, contact lens brand Acuvue is working in conjunction with the London Marathon to help highlight the benefits that contact lenses can provide runners and other people who take part in sporting activities.
