People planning on heading overseas this summer should consider taking daily disposable contact lenses with them, according to one user who said they are ideal for plane travelers.
India-Jewel Jackson, writing for Glamour, said that she often encountered problems having to remove her contact lenses before boarding a plane and place them in a case in contact lens solution, particularly as some airports are stricter than others and can confiscate such items.
After having such a thing happen to her in Moscow, she made the decision to switch to daily disposable contact lenses, which she noted could be removed before a flight and disposed of, before new ones are inserted on the other side.
She explained: "There's no need to travel with contact solution and lens cases; hallelujah! (Nothing's worse than being abroad and realising that your travel-size multipurpose solution is all gone.) Instead, now I dispose of them each night before I slumber."
Another benefit, she noted, is not having to invest in solution every few weeks when the bottle runs out, and so convenience is further improved even when the holiday is over.
