Ingredients

Hycosan Extra contains 0.2% sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid) in a sterile, preservative-free solution.

How To Use Hycosan Extra Eye Drops

• Wash and dry your hands before use.
• Before first use, prime the bottle by holding it upside down and pressing the pump until a drop appears.
• Hold the bottle upside down and place your thumb on the shoulder of the bottle and your other fingers on the base.
• Gently pull down your lower eyelid and press the base of the bottle once to release one measured drop.
• Close your eye slowly to allow the drop to spread across the eye.
• Repeat for the other eye.
• Avoid allowing the bottle tip to touch your eye or eyelashes.
• Generally, use one drop in each eye three times a day, or as advised by your eye care professional.
• If wearing contact lenses, wait approximately 30 minutes after inserting your lenses before applying Hycosan Extra.

Using Hycosan Extra With Contact Lenses

Hycosan Extra is compatible with contact lenses and can be applied while your lenses are being worn. However, it should not be treated in exactly the same way as a standard rewetting drop that is applied immediately after lens insertion.

After inserting your contact lenses, wait approximately 30 minutes before using Hycosan Extra. This recommendation is intended to reduce the possibility of intolerance caused by interactions with contact lens care products.

If contact lenses regularly leave your eyes feeling dry, gritty or uncomfortable, speak to your optometrist rather than relying solely on eye drops. Dryness can have several causes, and your lens material, fit, replacement schedule and wearing habits may all contribute.

Caution

• Do not use Hycosan Extra if you are hypersensitive or allergic to any of its ingredients.
• Temporary blurred vision can occur immediately after application because of the viscosity of the drops. Very rarely, temporary irritation, burning, excessive tearing, pain or a foreign-body sensation may occur. Discontinue use if you experience a reaction and seek professional advice if necessary.
• If your symptoms do not improve, become worse, or you develop significant eye pain, redness or changes in vision, seek advice from an optometrist, doctor or pharmacist.
• If using other eye drops, leave at least 30 minutes between applications, with Hycosan Extra used last. Eye ointments should be applied after Hycosan Extra.
• Always read and follow the instructions supplied with the product.
