Purevision 2 with High Definition Optics from Bausch and Lomb are a silicone hydrogel contact lens designed to reduce glare and halos around lights, whilst delivering crisp, clear vision, even in low light conditions.
By reducing spherical abrasions Purevision 2 can improve vision particularly in low lighting condition. Purevison 2 provide a considerable reduction in the amount of glare, blurriness and halos often experienced at dusk.
The advanced silicone hydrogel material offers comfort and breathability and makes the lenses easy to handle, which is aided by a light blue visibility tint.
Purevision 2 is one of the thinnest contact lenses available, their thin rounded edge makes interaction with the lid smooth and soft, creating a comfortable wearing experience. They are designed to last one month as either a daily disposable or for 30 days and nights as extended (overnight) wear, if recommended by your Optometrist.
Purevision 2 have been designed to cope with the demands of a busy lifestyle, so whether its long working days, extended amounts of screen time or that you want to wake up seeing clearly straight away then Purevision 2 is a great choice.

*It is advisable to check with your eye care professional as to suitability before wearing contact lenses overnight..
Purevision 2 for Astigmatism and Purevision 2 HD for Astigmatism are the same lens. Bausch and Lomb originally used the HD as a marketing tool to raise awareness of the High Definition optics contained within the lenses. Most packaging no longer displays the HD logo, but the lenses within the box are Purevision 2 HD - High Definition optic.
Purevision 2 is one of the original silicone hydrogel contact lenses and amongst the first (if not the first) contact lens that was approved for extended wear.
You can wear Purevision 2 for up to 30 days and 30 nights in a row if recommended to do so by your Optometrist. Even if you do not want to wear contact lenses over night, every night, Purevision 2 are a great choice as a monthly daily wear disposable contact lens with the added benefit of wearing them overnight on occasions, so if you have partied too hard, want to sleep on that overnight flight, or have an early start, Purevision 2 allow you to sleep in your lenses with out the stress.

These contact lenses are the most comfortable I've worn. They don't dry out like I've found some daily disposable brands do. I do a lot of screen work and also have generally pretty dry eyes after a few infections when I was a child... this brand makes it possible for me to wear lenses all day. Highly recommended.
I've been using these contact lenses for over 3 years now, and I can't complain at all about them, which is why I keep reordering them. They're perfect for continuous use, very seldom bothersome - and if they ever tend to be, then just rinsing them out seems to do the trick. Would highly recommend for anyone considering continuous use lenses, I never tend to feel them in my eyes at all.
After using a different brand for several years I decided to give these Lenses a try. At first I disregarded the more negative reviews thinking that those were due to individual issues rather than the product itself.
However having tried the Lenses myself I now agree with them. The Lenses are not very comfortable, too thick, dry quicker than any other continuous Lenses I've worn and most of all lead to persistent blurriness in bright or very cloudy days.
I do not recommend them at all!
I was part of the original clinical trials in the UK for continuous wear lenses and have been wearing Bausch & Lomb Purevision lenses ever since. After many satisfied years the standard Purevision lenses are no longer available and the Purevision 2 HD were the recommended replacements. Naturally I was a little sceptical changing lenses after so many years and especially reading the reviews here about comfort. However I am happy to report that I've just completed the first month in my new lenses and really can't say I've had any issues. They are as comfortable as my old lenses with no dryness or itchiness even after what I consider the ultimate test of a longhaul flight. I can't say I noticed any significant improvement in quality of vision, halo's etc but I am happy with the quality anyway.
I regularly have my eyes checked and my optician reports no problems with protein build up or the general health of my eyes due to continuous lens wear. Lenses and especially continuous wear lenses may not be for everyone so it comes down to each individual and their personal fit and taste. In my humble opinion though these are great lenses and well worth it if they work for you.
I've just tried these today for the first time having used the old now discontinued purevision for years with no poblems. Anyway I'm blown away how Good these are ! Everything is so much clearer and sharper ! like I have super sight! It's like going from watching analogue television to digital hd! Light is so much less harsh and I reckon these will be great in sunny conditions too! All in all such clear and clean vision for me totally noticeable ! Top notch!!!!
These contacts are fantastic I can wear them for 30 days continuously with taking out and can sleep in them the only contacts I have had with no irritation I can't believe my eyes reading some of the other reviews when my experience has been so good in have been wearing for 4 months now
in real is only waste of money. The longest period I was wearing a pair - it was two weeks but second week was really uncomfortable... itchy eyes, watering, far away from clear vision. I wanted just finish packet and never buy it again and as an extra I have an eye infection for the first time in my life!!!
I have tried two pairs of these, each of which I could not wear for longer than 24hours before the pain becomes unbearable and my eyes water far too much. Even with lens moistening eye drops they were no better. The lenses themselves are thicker than those I am used to, and the shape is not the same round springy material either, meaning they scratch the eye. Poor quality and not worth it in my opinion - go for another make!
I have tried so many different types of contact lenses, daily disposables(lots of different brands), montly disposables and finally decided to give these a try. My problem is seeing halos around certain items and also the contact lenses moving around, especially in hot and humid conditions such as in the gym on holiday etc... I first tried these a few months ago and on holiday in Florida and they have been fantastic no problems at all. You need to find the right contact lense to fit the person and believe these are the right ones for me, although they may not be for everyone.
I was impressed with the description and promise that 'halos' were eliminated and vision would be crystal clear...well, if I could have tolerated these longer than two hours, I may have had an opinion on that particular claim. They come in very impressive packaging, huge (I thought maybe I had ordered wrongly, could these packages REALLY contain only ONE contact lens?) having battled with the individual packaging and retrieved the contact lens, I noted how thick and odd shaped the lens was.
It was distorted and did not appear to spring into a perfect round shape like I was used to.
I hoped that once exposed to air it might alter its shape (Sorry, not been wearing lenses for too long) but it seemed to become even more uneven in shape and I inserted it with more than a bit of concern!
Actually, I was surprised that it felt comfortable and decided that perhaps my initial concerns were unfounded. Regretfully, I had to remove the lenses within the first two hours due to dryness and scratchiness.
I cleaned them, re inserted them, but still the same feeling - dry, itchy, poor focus - certainly not as comfortable as other brands I have tried in the Silicone Hydrogel range.
I certainly would have not driven with them in, it would have been too much of a risk...
Waste of time and money - these have to be ordered in.
Would NOT recommend :(
